The Minnesota Centennial Showboat is coming to Winona, and organizers are in the process of raising funds to purchase and move the showboat to Winona. They need public support for this to become a reality.
Donations may be made in care of Winona National Bank in Winona.
As of April 20, over $10,500 has been raised, including a $5,000 down payment to the city of St. Paul. An additional $30,000 needs to be raised to purchase the showboat, along with additional funds to transfer the vessel to Winona.
The Minnesota Centennial Showboat is a traditional, historic riverboat theater that seats 225 in Victorian style. It is 175 feet long, 50 feet wide, and in addition to the theater, includes dressing rooms, bathrooms, open decks on both levels, elevator and stairs to the second level. The vessel will be docked on Latch Island, directly across from Levee Park.
