Vida H. Warnken, age 91, of Winona, died Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Lake Winona Manor.
Vida Helen was born July 2, 1915, in Winona County, MN, to Gustav and Louise (Oldendorf) Bublitz. She was a lifelong area resident. On September 29, 1938, she married Harold A. Warnken in Wilson, MN. He preceded her in death March 28, 1998. Vida was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Winona, and a longtime employee of Wincraft, Winona.
Vida is survived by three daughters: LaVonne Rolbiecki, Martin Lake, MN; Norma Jean (Lloyd James) Walters, Winona; and Connie (Guy, Jr.) Davison, Hastings, MN; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Hilda Rehse, Stewartville, MN; Helen (Del) Wille, Winona; Lucille Ebel, Minneapolis, MN; and Janice Ehmke, Minneapolis, MN; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers: Elmer Bublitz, Wilbert Bublitz, and Norman Bublitz; a sister, Ruth Brust; a great grandson, Mitchell O'Brien; and a son-in-law, Thomas L. Rolbiecki.
Funeral services for Vida were Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Winona, with Rev. Richard A. Moore, officiating. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery, Hart, MN.
