Beatrice T. “Betty” Senn, 82, of LaCrescent, Minn., passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2008, surrounded by her daughters at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare in LaCrosse, Wis.
She was born in LaCrosse on April 19, 1926, to Delbert and Catherine (Murray) Lee. She married Ralph Senn. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Betty had worked well into her 70s in the credit department of Sears Roebuck and Co., retiring after 30-plus years of service.
Family and faith were very important in her life. She also enjoyed her card games and following sporting events.
She is survived by her five daughters, Pat (Dan) Von Arx, Jo Ann (Jim) Kochie, Peggy (Robert) Johnson and Barb Rohrer, all of Hokah, Minn., and Geri (Doug) Patschull of LaCrosse; son-in-law, Michael Otto of Anoka, Minn.; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret (Mac) McCauley of Winona, and Charlotte Hampel of Preston, Minn.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Otto, and one sister, Mary Jean Lorenz.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, December 26, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah, with the Reverend Joseph Pete officiating. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Hokah.
Memorials may be directed to the St. Peter’s Church or school fund.
