Gladys Viola Krueger, 93, died Monday, December 31, 2007, at Sauer Memorial Home.
Gladys was born March 7, 1914, in Ekalaka, Mont., to Ira and Ethel (Stallard) Sherwin. She married Armand Krueger on September 8, 1931, in Black River Falls, Wis. Armand preceded her in death on December 23, 2005.
After her husband's death, Gladys lived for a brief time at Winhaven Court and the Alterra Sterling House in Winona until moving to the Sauer Memorial Home in November 2007.
She was a member of St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Gladys was mainly a homemaker but did clean a barber shop and dental office part time and also cleaned at the Elks Club from 1965-1975.
She had many hobbies, the latest of which was painting pictures at the age of 88.
She is survived by a son, Allen (Marietta) Krueger, of LaCrosse, Wis.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandsons, Mark and Michael, a brother, Horace, and sisters, Mae and Myrtle.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 3, at 12:30 p.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Richard Moore officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in LaCrosse. Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
