Leslie Iverson, 89, of Winona, died on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.
Les was born on October 18, 1929, in Barrett, Minn., to Tollef and Anna (Neitzel) Iverson. Les married the love of his life, Ada Matthees, on October 15, 1960. He worked as a mechanic for local companies, eventually retiring from CD Corporation.
Les enjoyed tinkering in his garage – building and repairing engines; he also enjoyed hunting and loved being outside.
He is survived by his wife, Ada; children, Peter Iverson, Marlis (Richard) Ferden, Tom Iverson and Sara Iverson; step-son, Phil (Brenda) Rausch; grandchildren, Haley Kvam, Maicee Iverson, Andrew Ferden, Aaron Ferden, Tanner Iverson and Emily Gibbons; great-grandchildren, Max Kvam and Ryder Iverson; and brother-in-law, Harold Kjeldahl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, with Reverend Paul Kuckhahn officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Les will be laid to rest at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Norton.
