William Edward Wise, 79, of Winona, died on Monday, March 25, 2019, at Lake Winona Manor.

Bill was born on March 18, 1940, in Winona, to Arthur and Lucille (Jenkins) Wise. He married Marina Allen. They had eight children and later divorced. On January 31, 1992, Bill married Kay (Holzer) Nowlan. Bill drove truck for many years and was a driving instructor at Minnesota State College – Southeast Tech.

Bill and Kay enjoyed their adventure in Florida, running their clothing business for five years, eventually missing Minnesota and moving back.

Bill enjoyed golfing with his sons and friends, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings with his family and friends, playing bingo with his sisters and enjoying coffee with his friends and relatives. He treasured many moments spent with his grandchildren. Bill was truly a kind and compassionate person, with a great sense of humor and a laugh that was truly one of a kind. His laugh, sense of humor and kind spirit will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Kay of 27 years; Bill’s children, Debra (Jim) Regan of Elkart Lake, Wis., Wendy (John) Drosset of Oasburg, Wis., Scott (Jill) Wise of Monitawoc, Wis., Linda (Kevin) Bucholtz of Fremont, Wis., Kevin (Jinsook) Wise of Dublin, Calif., Lisa (Duane) Ditter of Sheboygan, Wis., and Paula Jakabowski of Sheboygan, Wis.; step-children, Lori (Rick) Hogan and Michelle (Dennis) Oldendorf; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Darlene Wise, Delores Long and Pat Rothering; son, Bill Jr.; step-daughter, Lana Nowlan; and step-granddaughter, Miranda Oldendorf.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Please share a memory of Bill and sign his online guestbook at www.hofffuneral.com.
