Bebout, Gabriel David

(2/22/2019)

Gabriel David Bebout, 36, of Owatonna and formerly of Winona, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at his home.

Gabe was born on February 26, 1982, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Merritt and Mona (Merrick) Bebout. Growing up, he enjoyed spending time with his big family on the family farm, creating many wonderful memories. He enjoyed fishing, weightlifting and playing cards and at an early age, he acquired an acute dislike for chocolate. Gabe was an incredibly hard worker and very charismatic – quick to make friends wherever he was. In his short 36 years of life, he truly lived every moment and made the most out of his life. Gabe was the life of the party and was loved deeply by so many people. His unsung testimony of God’s love was evident in his sharing of God’s word with many of his friends.

Gabe’s daughters, Mikaela Marie and Hailey May, were the loves of his life and he was so proud of them. His love for his family was unmeasurable and they were his rock. Gabe was blessed to have two great mamas in his life – Mona passed away when Gabe was 14 and Deb came into his life shortly after.

He is survived by his two beautiful girls, Mikaela and Hailey; parents, Merritt and Debra Bebout; sisters and brothers, Jackie (Bryan) Bebout-Williams, Joshua (Diana) Johnson, Merritt Jr. (Jennifer) Bebout, Saige and Shauntel Bebout; nieces and nephews, Tristen, Chase, Betty and Londyn Williams and Aliyah and Alexis Bebout; grandmother, Betty Rumpca; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chuck and Gladys Merricak, Patricia Gulsvig and William Rumpca Jr.

His funeral service will be at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Gabe will be laid to rest at Fremont Scotch Cemetery in a private family service.
