Matter of common sense

In response to Mr. Foss, subject Santa Claus

Lets see if I'm getting your message about Santa Claus. In my entire life I have never seen or heard about the article that makes any sense, but nonsense. I have never seen Santa worshiped in any way! Who would pray to him all the time, and ask him for guidance, and heal the sick and do all the things you described in your article? Do we worship him? Pray to him? Ask for guidance? Twenty-four hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long. You can say Christmas, I don't care. Christmas is only a tradition. New Years is the same. Valentine's Day, on and on. You have the right to express your opinion! If you don't celebrate it, that's fine with me and my friends. Same thing as Thanksgiving, it doesn't matter. Do you know that a lot of children like holidays? Hang on now! Some adults do too! Who we pray to isn't really any of your business, or what religion, or nationality. Who made you our God? You have no right to judge anybody, but you can pray for them. You pray real hard for that naughty Santa Claus doesn't drop you some sticks and coal in your yard! To sum it up, don't you think a lot of families enjoy these traditions? You old Grinch! Try some Zoloft. I hope you feel better. Why don't you pray, if you want to, for Santa to disappear and no more Christmas? See if that works!? Take care and have a nice day!

P.S. I enjoy the Winona Post of all the papers!
