MMAM is a treasure

From: Vicki Englich
Chair, River Arts Alliance

The Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) is a treasure in our midst due to the generous contributions of donors and benefactors, but also because of the strong leadership that Andy Maus brought to the museum during his five-year tenure as executive director. Andy brought his expertise to the museum, but he also brought a desire to collaborate with other organizations and institutions in Winona, thereby increasing access to MMAM. The Winona community has benefited from this access through the programming and events that attracted Winonans and visitors alike. Andy’s good will and good humor contributed to a welcoming atmosphere. The volunteers who he recruited to serve on committees and the docents who provided information about the collections also made the museum experience special. I’m grateful for his positive influence at the museum as well as his service to the community. Good luck in your new position at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo!
