I would like to thank everyone who came to my chili dinner benefit and contributed to the silent auction to help me get a replacement trolly for the nor that burned. A special thanks to Pat Mutter and the Visit Winona staff, Mary Farrell and Cynthia Porter for all the time and effort they put into the project. Thanks to Ron Haugen for the music and the American Legion for donating the room.
Thank you Diana Corda and crew for cooking the chili dinner and all of your help to make things go so well. Thank you to Sharon Nichols and family as well as the other people who helped clean up and make the project a success. A special thanks to the people and organizations who were so generous with larger donations. Also thanks to Mike Rivers who has stepped up over the past year to help the Trester Trolley continue to promote the city of Winona.
We were able to raise approximately $7,500 dollars so far. Anyone wishing to help can do so by mailing your donations to the Trester Trolley at 1067 West Ninth Street, Winona.
I am in the process of purchasing a 2009 Homeland Trolly from Decorah, Iowa. It has a Cummings diesel engine with an Allison transmission. It is in good condition and will be ready to run in the spring.
