A Love Poem

by: Maxine Aldinger

Heart, beating with love for others
Flowers for everyone, not just mothers
Plenty of chocolates, prepare to eat
Valentine’s in the mail, oh! What a treat
Hearts and flowers
Today, yesterday’s ‘morrow
Love abounds, away with sorrow.
A time set aside, it’s Valentine’s Day
In peace and contentment, let us pray
Let love know no bounds
Make it last through the year
Be charitable and patient
It will bring nothing but cheer
For in giving, you receive
Joy beyond measure
Moments that stay
The kind that you treasure
Happy Valentine’s Day!
