Hope Harbor’s first Donut Run was a huge success
From: Mary Meyer
Hope Harbor site director
We would like to extend a very big THANK YOU to all the participants who joined Hope Harbor for our first ever Donut Run. They warmed up behind the start line and when the “go” signal came, they all ran 0.1K to the finish line where a Bloedows donut was waiting for them! If they had never ran a marathon, then today would be their day to finally say, “I ran a marathon — 0.1K around the block, but still, I did it!”
We at Hope Harbor are a non-profit, 501 C3 organization and are fully funded under the generosity and funds from others. The immense amount of support our local community has given us has been so wonderful! I’m honored to work in a city where there is so much enthusiasm for being a part of our organization! We couldn’t do it without all of these people coming together. Plus it was a super fun event … who wouldn’t want to run, walk, or stroll three-quarters of a block to get a donut, a bottle of water, and a cool T-shirt?
