My wife Mary and I want to extend a BIG “thank you” to all those who came to her assistance on Wednesday, July 10, at the Kwik Trip after she fell, fracturing her hip.
From the man who called 911 to those who offered their assistance (one woman offered Mary a bottle of cold water), including Kwik Trip employees, your quick response cannot be overlooked.
The men and women of the Winona Fire Department and Winona Area Ambulance Service were most attentive and very careful in getting Mary to the hospital. Ambulance personnel maintained a presence for a short time thereafter, periodically checking in on Mary.
However, a super BIG “thank you” goes out to the nursing staff at Lake Winona Manor’s Bluffview TCU. They made Mary’s stay as comfortable as possible. That also applies to the occupational and physical therapy staff members and those associated with food service.
But the residents of the TCU wing most assuredly made Mary’s stay far more pleasant than might be expected.
The friendships Mary established while staying at Lake Winona Manor will always be dear to her heart.
