Matter of Faith: The uncircumcision’s Gospel

From: Jamie Smith

Paul’s ministry differed from that of Jesus and the Twelve. Jesus and the Twelve preached to the Circumcision. Paul preached to the nations (Ga2:10). Pardon for the Circumcision was preached by the Twelve and Jesus. Grace to the aliens was preached by Paul.

Paul preached the Evangel of God which can be found in the Hebrew writings. He also preached the mystery of the Evangel of which only parts can be found in the Hebrew writings. He preached on the secret economy which is not found in the Hebrew writings nor in any of the Greek writings save for Paul’s. As time passed, so Paul’s Evangel progressed.

Evangel of God:

Ro1:1-4: “Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, severed for the EVANGEL OF GOD (which He promises before through His prophets in the holy scriptures), concerning His Son (Who comes of the seed of David according to the flesh, Who is designated Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead), Jesus Christ, our Lord,”

This Evangel of God was no secret. It relates to the blessings of God based upon the Abrahamic covenant. Abram was blessed by a priest, Melchizedek (Gen14:18-20). Thus Paul, at this time, ministers to the nations as a priest. This will be a similar situation in the Kingdom of Heaven (Kingdom out of heaven on the earth), the nations will receive blessing from the kingdom of priests, Israel.

Ac15:16,17: “After these things I will turn back, And I will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen... And its overturned structure will I rebuild, And I will re-erect it... So that those left of mankind should be seeking out the Lord, And all the nations, on them over whom My name is invoked, Is saying the Lord, Who is doing these things.”

The Evangel of God {Ro1-4) concerns the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ’s faith. It is for all and therefore effective for all, but only recognized by all who are believing.

Ro3:22: “yet a righteousness of God through Jesus Christ’s faith, for all, and on all who are believing, for there is no distinction,”

Concerning this righteousness, there is no distinction between Jew or Gentile. No distinction between believer and unbeliever.

23: “for all sinned and are wanting of the glory of God. 24: “Being justified gratuitously in His grace, through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus”

All are justified gratuitously (without a cause on the part of the person, grace) in God’s grace through the faith of Jesus Christ. That is the Evangel of God.

As Israel failed to recognize their Messiah on multiple occasions, each failure brought new concessions to the nations.

This has been part three. The next part, Lord willing, will detail the mystery of the Evangel.
