Patrick has lead the Winona Post sales team since 1994. During that period the Post has set the standard for advertising and exceptional service for businesses in the Winona area. He has a journalism degree from Saint Mary's University in Winona, and has won several statewide awards for his columns. He is currently the Post's Minnesota Vikings columnist, and recently was issued credentials from the Vikings, giving the Post access to all team activities. Patrick and the Post's sales team are very active in the Winona business and volunteer community. Marek is past president of the Winona Rotary Club, and currently is a director on the Winona County Historical Society and YMCA boards and a member of the GRSF Development Committee. Marek enjoys performing in theater productions and has been featured in numerous local theater performances. Patrick and his wife Maureen have five children. Patrick purchased the Post from Frances Edstrom in 2014.

Sarah began as a reporter at the Winona Post in 2006 after working at the Pope County Tribune and Granite Falls Advocate-Tribune. Today she leads the Winona Post newsroom, covering key community events and issues while assisting reporters to deliver the best local news coverage in the region. Sarah grew up in Glenwood, Minn., and Brooklyn Center, Minn., and is a graduate of Brooklyn Center High School and Saint Cloud State University. She says she loves living in the Winona area with her husband, Chris, because of the strong, close-knit community, the beauty of the Mississippi River, and because the region has so many interesting stories and engaged readers. In her free time, Sarah enjoys boating, fishing, cooking, reading, and beating her husband at intense cribbage matches.

Fran and her late husband, John, first began publishing the precursor to the Winona Post in 1971. Their goal was to bring all the news and advertising to the Winona area that readers will need to be full participants in all aspects of the community. Fran is a graduate of the College of Saint Teresa. She is originally from Framingham, Mass. She has two daughters, one who lives with her family in St. Paul, and one in Winona. She has three grandchildren. She likes to read, boat, play bridge, and travel. She is a member of the board of directors of the Great River Shakespeare Festival, and loves Winona for its beauty, arts and cultural opportunities, and people.

Kim first joined the Winona Post in 1999, and returned in 2011 as Senior Account Executive. Kim specializes in creating market strategies, relationship building, and crafting cutting-edge advertising campaigns. Originally from Milwaukee, Wis., Kim lives in La Crosse, where she enjoys skiing, reading books about travel, and biographies. An insatiable traveler, Kim has been to Africa, Bosnia, Croatia, Switzerland, the Caribbean, and Mexico. Kim has worked in marketing for more than 28 years.

Wendy started at the Winona Post in October 2016 as Sarah Squires' assistant, then moved into sales in April 2017. Wendy’s department works closely with employers to attract quality employees through job advertising, also rentals and real estate ads. Wendy grew up in Mankato, Minn., then moved to Minneapolis where she lived for many years. Wanting to move back to a smaller community, she and her husband Dave came to Winona in 2009. Wendy and Dave, along with their dogs Merle and Brutus, then bought a house in Wis., in 2011, and enjoy having Merrick State Park as their back yard. Wendy loves to cook, read and be outside but her favorite thing to do is get out on the river with Dave and the dogs and spend a lazy afternoon in the sun!

Chris has been with the Winona Post since 2012, covering the decisions and social issues that affect our community, and sharing people's stories. Originally from Chillicothe, Mo., Chris says the Winona community has truly embraced him. "The people make me feel at home," he said, adding, "The countryside and history offer plenty to explore." Chris is a graduate of Luther College. He enjoys cross-country skiing, riding bikes, cooking, and playing cards. His parents live in Missouri. He has a sister in Minneapolis.

Ashley joined the Winona Post in 2014 as a creative designer and webmaster. In 2017 she was promoted to creative director. Her team currently designs more original, eye-catching branding material in-house than ever before, offering local businesses and organizations the edge they need to attract and maintain customers and patrons. She uses creative thinking and innovative ideas to develop award-winning advertising campaigns. Originally from Buffalo City, Wisc., Ashley now lives in Winona, Minn. She is a graduate of Cochrane-Fountain City High School and Saint Mary's University where she majored in graphic design and art studio. In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies and spending time outdoors with her dog.

Monica joined the Winona Post in 2001. As the composition director she develops unique newspaper layout and award-winning marketing campaigns. Originally from Fountain City, Wis., Monica now lives in Winona, and says she loves the region because of its beauty and because it is home to her sister, parents, and extended family. Monica is a graduate of Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wis., and Cochrane-Fountain City High School. Monica's extensive painting portfolio is inspired by the beauty of the Winona region, featuring the Upper Mississippi River Valley and the unique bluffs and landscape that surround it. When not creating spectacular newspaper designs or painting, Monica enjoys traveling and gardening.

Her parents are Augie and Pat Verdick.

Mary first joined the Winona Post in 1990, then returned in 2001 as circulation manager. Mary coordinates the delivery of the Winona Post to 24,000 households twice a week, and manages more than 130 routes and 110 carriers and delivery drivers. A Winona native, Mary and her husband Jim reside in Fountain City, where they enjoy the beauty of the area and close family ties. Mary and Jim have two daughters: Melissa and Monica, who is the Winona Post Creative Director. In her free time, Mary enjoys creating unique scale miniatures, cooking, baking, crocheting, and woodworking.

Jim has worked as the director of the Winona Post Printing operation since 2006, ensuring the highest quality print in the region. Jim is originally from New Ulm, Minn., and now lives in Goodview. Jim has two sons and enjoys the Winona region's small town atmosphere. He loves motorcycle riding — especially scenic routes along the Mississippi River — as well as golf, and fantasy football.

Jesse has been with the Winona Post Printing operation since 2005. He is a pressman and manages the Winona Post mailroom. He is originally from Winona and a graduate of Winona Senior High School. He enjoys playing golf and fantasy football.
