Redistricting school district must be sent to state by May
28
The District 861 School Board announced Thursday that it expects
to redistrict the five voting precincts represented on the school
board. Redistricting, Superintendent Eric Bartleson said, is
intended to equalize the populations of each district and align
the new boundaries with the city's reprecincting.

A Winona State University survey on the use of alcohol and
tobacco among precollege students, college students and adult
residents reveals that more than half of seventh through twelfth
graders "binge drink" and that most people think Winona
has too many bars.

cat. A new mother of 5 kittens. She has the sweetest disposition
and loves attention. She is not available to take home today
because she is still nursing, and will be available in 4-5 weeks.
