May 8

The Collectors Club will meet Wednesday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Armory Museum to carpool to Wagners home in Wisconsin. Dinner will be served before the meeting. Program on their collection of American folk art and wood carvings. Note the change of time as we will leave the museum promptly at 6:30 p.m.

May 9

The We-No-Nah Bless Um You Precious Moments Club will hold its bimonthly meeting on Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at Godfather's Pizza, Winona. Come for food, fun and fellowship. Bring a donation for the Humane Society, the club's charity for this year.

May 13

The Ruskin Study Club will meet for their spring luncheon at the Winona Country Club at noon on May 13. This is also the annual meeting and election of officers. Susan Briggs will read the historian's report.

Chautauqua Club will meet for their spring luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, at the Winona Country Club. Hostess will be Barb Shields. Co-hostess will be Donna Peterson. The program will be the installation of new officers.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Winona #191 will meet Monday, May 13 at the Knights of Columbus Club Hall at 6:30 p.m. for May Crowning.  Rosary with meeting to follow.  There will be election of officers for 2002-2004.  Ice Cream Social will end the evening.

May 14

Next meeting of the Winona Senior High School PTSA will be on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Library/Media Center.

May 15

Harvest House will meet Wednesday, May 15 for Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Church with Father Ginther celebrating. A business meeting will follow in the church hall. Nomination of officers will take place. Miriam Potter will speak on "Life Under Communism." Members are asked to bring a dish to pass for the potluck lunch. The Fanny Hill Dinner Theatre bus will leave the East End Rec at 9:30 a.m. May 9 and return about 5:45 p.m. The Mass with Bishop Harrington is at 5:15 p.m. Monday, May 20 at St. Stanislaus Church with a catered dinner following in the church hall. Call Alice Lynch at 454-2103 for reservations. cost is $6.

Portia Club will gather at the Winona Country Club for their annual spring luncheon on Wednesday, May 15 at 11:45 a.m. President Betsy Sawyer will conduct a short meeting and officers for the next year will be announced.

Winona Masonic Benevolent Assn. will meet at 7:00 p.m. May 15 at the Winona Masonic Center. Masons welcome.

May 16

The Winona Area OWLS will meet May 16 at 1 p.m. at Sauer Memorial Home for a potluck, followed by a business meeting and annual flower planting.

Women's Shrine Auxiliary will meet at the Elks Club on May 16 at 12:30 p.m. Lunch menu is meatballs, poppyseed chicken salad, rolls, dessert and coffee. Cost is $6. For reservations call Jan Haugen at 454-4253 by May 10. Cards will be played. If you are interested in being a sub for cards please call. Keep saving tabs and labels. Labels last year bought $1,565 worth of items for Childrens Hospital.

May 21

Winona Masonic Lodge will meet May 21 for a dinner meeting at 6:00 p.m. Spouses, friends and Masons invited. Reservations required. Phone numbers to call are 452-3587, 452-6016, or 454-5986 and use the answering machine. Meeting at the Winona Masonic Center.
