Planning Commission approves University Village preliminary
plat near St. Mary's University
A preliminary plat was approved Tuesday for University Village
of Winona, a 36-unit subdivision to be built at Highway 14 and
Knopp Valley Drive, that proposes access to St. Mary's University
for its residents. The homes will be marketed mainly to persons
55 and older.

County approves new
districts, sets terms for office
Tuesday night the Winona County Board approved the redistricting
plan recommended by County Auditor Cherie MacLennan which she
said evenly distributes populations across each of the county's
five districts.
By state law, adoption of the new districts was needed by May
28. Redistricting occurs every ten years at the legislative,
city, county and school district levels following the collection
of U. S. Census data.

RAISIN: 9 months old, female, gray/black short-haired
cat. A new mother of 5 kittens. She has the sweetest disposition
and loves attention. She is not available to take home today
because she is still nursing, and will be available in 4-5 weeks.
