With summer in full swing, Winona's streets, paths and sidewalks
are teeming with bicycles of every size. On the heels of another
bicycle-car collision last week, a refresher course on the bicycle
and motorist laws in Winona may help avert a future tragedy when
a bicycle and vehicle meet unexpectedly in an intersection.

for their quick thinking in evacuating seven tenants of an apartment
house at Sixth and Franklin streets that was engulfed in flames
