County attorney wants new jail
New laws means overcrowding in 'decades old' jail
With a cost of over $750,000 to transport inmates to other
jails accumulating since 1996 and the day-to-day needs of the
county outgrowing the current jail facility, County Attorney
Chuck MacLean urged commissioners Tuesday to consider building
a new one.

Highway 61 plan still five years away from design stage

61 corridor is four to five years away and entirely dependent
on funding, retailers were told Monday at a meeting with city
