Sept 11 memorial planned
On Wednesday, Sept. 11, the Winona Fire Department will host
a remembrance ceremony to mark the day of the terrorist attacks
on the World Trade Center, but Fire Chief Ed Krall wants people
to know it is not meant to be a tearful event, but will honor
the heroes of that tragic day.

Primary election Sept. 10
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, voters will be asked to narrow down
the field of candidates in three of the five county commissioner
districts. The primary election will determine which candidates'
names will appear on the ballot for the Nov. 5 general election.
