Downtown Winona transformed into Old World Christmas
Picture this: You're strolling downtown doing a little Christmas
shopping. The sound of caroling drifts down the block, Santa
is cruising around on a sleigh, and wagons roll by filled with
mitten-clad families. On the street corner is a troupe of costumed
characters doing scenes from "A Christmas Carol," and
shopkeepers, wearing Victorian costumes of their own, offer you
some cider and a treat when you stop in to browse. It is the
quintessential Old World Christmas, and it's coming to Winona.
