Bob Stroinski, Industrial Service manager for Fastenal,
delivered a challenge to his employees, and in tern, they delivered
food a LOT of food! the goal on November 29: fill 10 totes for
the "10 Days of Giving." The challenge: Stroinski
said if they made it 20 totes, he'd sleep outside for a night.
Almost 30 totes later, Stroinski will be camping out Thursday
night at the Fastenal facility on Service Drive. "We've
had so much fun doing this," said assistant manager Vicky
Emmons, "but we think he pulled in a favor from the 'Big
Guy' for it to be so warm this week." (Submitted photo)
Steel Lustron home to be coffee shop
Part of Mankato Avenue might be
totally commercial

and developer Rick Mikrut agreed late this week.
This lustron home on Mankato Avenue
is one of less than 25,000 manufactured after WWII to meet the
housing needs to returning GIs and their families. The homes
are made of porcelain-enameled steel panels. (Photo by Cynthia

Christmas morning.
