1:00 pm Burial of Ashes
Interment of Anne Conrad ashes at St. Mary Cemetery, Winona, Minnesota - many family members coming from out of town and out of state to bury ashes in Max and Betty Conrad gravesite/plot "Conrad" plot. There will be "Remembering and Celebrating Memories of Anne, #10 child and 7th daughter of Max and Betty" with songs and stories and flute music and a Chaplet of Divine Mercy at the "Hour of Mercy" - 3 p.m. We think there will be old friends and relatives in the Winona area who read your paper and will want to come and join us as it has been manly, many years since we have been together, seen one another, shared our lives. Summer Block Party A Family-Friendly Outdoor Concert Sunday, July 6th @ 4-6pm 2nd and Lafayette St. (Outside the Acoustic Cafe) ALL families in the Winona area are invited to a summer block party hosted by Living Light Church and the Acoustic Cafe. The event will include live music, kid’s games, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, and giveaway prizes. This is a free event. Bring your family downtown for an afternoon of summer fun! Musical guests: Patmos (from New York), Joey and the Brightness (Winona native Joey Bures), and Gayle Nottleman and Friends.

Gain an appreciation and concern for our natural environment while exploring outdoor activities. Learn new skills, meet new people and get outside! Activities include geocaching, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking, as well as high & low ropes course initiatives and elements. All activities follow the challenge by choice philosophy and are facilitated by nationally certified instructors. Step out of your comfort zone and join others in four weeks of new adventures in the Mississippi River Valley! **Times will vary depending on activity**

2:00 pm WUS Senior University - America in the Vietnam War
This course will explore the complexity of causes, stages, and consequences of growing U.S. involvement in and subsequent disengagement from the Southeast Asian conflict. Although this is not a specialized military history course, it will outline major military objectives, strategies, and tactics of the struggling powers.

11:30 am Pool Party Concert
Don't miss the Pool Party Concert, sponsored by Winona National Bank and Winona Park & Recreation, at the Bob Welch Aquatic Center! Enjoy music by Rip-Roaring Entertainment from 11:30-1:30, and thanks to Miller Scrap for free admission to the Aquatic Center until 6:00 p.m. Winona National will serve its famous $1 lunch from 11:30-1:30 or while supplies last. The lunch includes a hot dog, bag of chips, and a drink, and all proceeds benefit the Morrie Miller Athletic Foundation. Lunches can be pre-ordered by calling 507-454-8800 by Wednesday, July 9.

Winona amateur radio operators will be making two-way contacts with other hams around the region and country in support of the Great River Shakespeare Festival--a way to give additional visibility to the festival. The public is invited to stop by the station at the Visitors' center to see ham radio in action--and maybe even participate! This is a great activity for people interested in science, technology, engineering and math--especially young people.

1:00 pm Tea and Tour
Scheduled guided tours of the spectacular Kinstone campus with its megalithic stone circle, classic 7-circuit labyrinth, thatched cordwood chapel, straw-clay cabin, its many permaculture projects in process, and more are available on the second Sunday of the month from April through November at 1:00pm. Tea (beverage and dessert) will be served immediately after the tour and a short slideshow presentation about the building of Kinstone Circle will be shown. Dress for the weather. Sturdy walking shoes and a camera are highly recommended. Each tour lasts approximately two and a half hours and allows a maximum of 25 participants. First come first served. No advanced reservations or registration required. Fee: $10 Children ages 5-12: $5 Children under 5: Free

4:00 pm Neighborhood Block Party
Come one come all…family fun! Live music, trolley rides, arts and crafts, food, eaves trough boat regattas, moon walk and slide, and much more! The evening will culminate with a concert on the historic church bells.
