3:00 pm Girl Scouts Cupcake Challenge
Girl Scouts from Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau area are hosting a cupcake challenge. Bakers of all ages/experience should register to submit an original cupcake inspired by a Girl Scouts cookie flavor. Participants will be divided into the categories of Girl Scouts, amateur, and professional, and there will be prizes awarded in each category. Local celebrity judges will decide which cupcake is the Girl Scout cookiest of them all. Proceeds will go towards a newly created scholarship fund for local Girl Scouts. Registration deadline is Nov. 11th. Go to http://tinyurl.com/getgsccc to obtain a registration form. If you would rather just sample these tasty treats, then please join us on Nov. 16th from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at the Trempealeau Community Center where the cupcakes will be for sale and the winners will be announced. We will also be having a silent auction featuring hand-made decorative tile art created by local artists. Admission is free with a donation to the food shelf.


4:00 pm Adoption Information Meeting
Adoption is a great way to start or expand your family. Catholic Charities will be offering an opportunity for people to gain information about adoption through an informational meeting. Anyone thinking about adoption is encouraged to attend in order to get more information about what the process involves. Anyone interested in attending or who has questions should call Jodi at 507-454-2270 ex 228.

5:00 pm Fountain City Boat Club Meeting
Recent events have coalesced to suggest the possibility of a meeting of The Fountain City Boat Club at The MMAM around 5p.m. on Thursday November 14th, 2013. Potential items for discussion may include The Cardinal Directions, the current situation and, potentially, performance. The regular digression will redintegrate Art and Music.

Tickets: $14 Adults, $6 Seniors & Students This version of Peter Pan is an adapted version of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale created by John Caird and Trevor Nunn. This touring production by Theatreworks USA explores the journey of a group of children in turn-of-the-century London who use their imaginations to reenact the story of Peter Pan. This story empowers children to create their own world of make-believe. As the children fly to Neverland and escape the evil Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, they recognize the importance of friendship as well as the value of being part of a family.

7:00 pm Autumn Barn Dance
$5 admission per person; children 10 and under free Live music by the Misty Mountain Boys (www.themistymountainboys.com) Calling by Sue Hulsether (www.facebook.com/suehulsetherdance) Refreshments will be served throughout the evening. All dances will be taught and include square and circle dances, folk dances, waltzes, and more. All ages are welcome; no partner or prior experience is necessary.

4:00 pm River North Master Class
River North Chicago Dance Company is dedicated to the creative advancement, presentation and preservation of Jazz based contemporary dance regionally, nationally, and internationally. Join us at MCA for a master class with a representative from the company.


7:30 pm Page Series: River North Dance
Tickets: $27 Adults, $24 Seniors & Students One of Chicago's most physical dance ensembles Founded in 1989, the company is recognized as one of Chicago’s leading dance companies, receiving critical acclaim both on a national and international level. Under the direction of Artistic Director Frank Chaves, the jazz-based contemporary company embodies a true flavor of “Americana” in its dynamic repertoire. They will present a mixed repertoire including Simply Miles featuring the music of Miles Davis, Train, and Super Straight Is Coming Down as well as other pieces from their twenty year repertoire. There will be a pre-show talk with company manager as well.

Shop jewelry, cosmetics, candles, handmade mittens, aprons, handbags, nutritional and fitness supplies and much more! Cost: $5.00 for WIB members and non WIB members.
