6:30 pm DRC II Concert
A community favorite for almost four decades, performances by the Dance Repertory Company feature Classical and contemporary works. The DRC II allows the Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts' 12 and under students the opportunity to perform in the same fashion. The company continues to strive toward its original vision of sharing and communicating the arts to its students and with the community through dance. Join us for the culmination of a semester's worth of hard work, dedication, and talent!

This year enjoy a real Old Fashioned Christmas - Mississippi River Valley, Lake Pepin area communities have banded together to form 100 miles of Christmas (the Country Way) 12/7 & 8, 2013. Travel along the Great River Road, (just voted as the most beautiful drive in the US by Huffington Post), offering a winter adventure in one of natureís remaining unspoiled regions. In the area along the river you will tour the villages who will be celebrating a good old country Christmas and welcome you to share the fun. In our towns we still experience the holidays in this way; it's not about spending, it's about warmth and love. Simply Dunn, in Downsville, WI, and the Accola Gallery, in Durand, WI, will offer concurrent Holiday Open Houses.A Holiday Marketplace Offering Gifts by Local and Global Artists The Accola Gallery will be showcasing the talents of artisans work from around the world. A trip to Kenya brings unique necklaces and earrings made from up-cycled materials like glass, paper and bone. Jean's newest work continues with plein air oil and watercolor paintings. She has also been experimenting with abstract expressionism and nature-inspired abstraction using oils, watercolor, pastels and acrylics. The Accola Gallery invites you to join us during this Celebration. Sip some fruit of the vine, sample some delectables while relaxing surrounded by art and the warmth of the hearth. Thursday, December 12th the Accola Gallery will be hosting Date Night at the Gallery. Bring a friend or significant other, contemplate a joint gift of art or develop a wish list for the holidays. 7:00 pm Holiday Dance
Join the River City Ballroom Dancers for their Holiday Dance on Saturday, December 7, 2013. The evening begins with optional Waltz and Cha Cha lessons at 7 p.m., followed by dancing from 8 to 10:30 p.m. The dance will be held at the Winona Athletic Clubís 2nd floor ballroom on 5th and Mankato Streets in Winona. Admission is $10 per person; $5 for students. Couples and singles of all ages welcome to attend. No dance experience required. Our dances incorporate high-energy modern hits and the classics.

9:00 am ANNUAL COOKIES BY THE BOX SALE
"Cookies by the Box" will be featured at the annual Christmas Cookie and Bake Sale held by Wesley United Methodist Church on the corner of Main St and Broadway in Winona. The sale will take place in Guild Hall on Saturday, December 14th starting at 9:00 A.M. until Noon. There will also be other delicious baked goods for sale including ROSETTES.


1:00 pm Scrooge Puppet Show
Doctor Bobs puppets will present two free matinees of "Scrooge". A loose interpretation of Charles Dickens classic a Christmas Carol. Fun for all ages, donations gladly accepted.

7:00 pm Winona Brass Band Christmas in Brass Concert
Join the Winona Brass Band as we celebrate our 20th concert season with our Christmas in Brass concert. Enjoy your holiday favorites played in the British brass band tradition. We are a British-style brass band, and we use some instruments that are not commonly seen in the United States such as Eb soprano cornet, Eb alto horn, Repiano cornet, and Eb tuba. Free admission.
