Jefferson Elementary plans events to celebrate Education Week (11/09/2005)
American Education Week will be celebrated November 13-18. Jefferson Elementary School in Winona has several events planned to celebrate public schools and education.

Monday, November 14: School Pride-Wear Orange Day. 7:50 a.m. kick-off program, flag raising by the American Legion, Pledge of Allegiance and song. Book Fair open 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Recognition: School Nutrition Staff and Custodians.

Tuesday, November 15: Dr. Kaehler reads in classrooms. Book Fair open 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Recognition: E.A.s, Secretaries and Interpreters.

Wednesday, November 16: Red, White and Blue Day. 7:00-7:45 a.m. Continental Breakfast in the gym. Book Fair open 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 7:30-8:00 a.m. Title I Parent Open House Rooms 203 and 202; 8-10 a.m. classrooms open for visitors. Recognition: Parents and Volunteers.

Thursday, November 17: Stars and Stripes Day. 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Book Fair open; 3:00-6:30 p.m. Parent-Teacher Conferences. Recognition: Students.

Friday, November 18: Jefferson Day - wear your Jefferson shirts. Book Fair open 7:30-9:30 a.m.; 1:40 p.m. All School Sing Along. Recognition: Teachers and Principal.
