The Western Dairyland Child Care Business Development Center is hosting two 1-hour seminars on "How to Start a Child Care Business" in Black River Falls, Wis., on Tuesday, November 15. These repeating seminars will be held from 1-2 p.m. and from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Black River Falls Jackson County Bank, 8 Main Street, Black River Falls, Wis.
These seminars will cover the basics of what you need to do to start a child care business, benefits of starting a child care business, and how you can earn money without leaving home. Light refreshments will be served and door prizes will be provided. The Child Care Business Development Center is encouraging anyone interested in opening an in-home family child care or a child care center to attend one of these free seminars.
Currently there is an estimated 6% vacancy rate for child care providers in Black River Falls. This low percentage makes it difficult for parents in the area to find care for their children. Due to this reason, the Western Dairyland's Child Care Business Development Center feels it is vital to expand the number of child care providers in the Black River Falls area.
The Western Dairyland Child Care Business Development Center is a collaboration of Western Dairyland's Child Care Partnership Resource and Referral and Western Dairyland's Business Center. The Child Care Business Development Center is funded through a grant award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Business Enterprise Grant Program. The goal of the Center is to increase the success rate of child care businesses through additional assistance to providers.
