Park Rec activities (12/04/2005)

ADULT BASKETBALL ROSTERS AND STARTING DATES:

Your official roster is due on or before December 16, 2005 by 4:30 p.m. Please turn those into the Park Rec. office, not to the scorekeeper/timer or officials. We have a total of 21 adult men's teams. The Men's Div. I League starts November 28th (Mondays) at WSU-McGown Gym, Men's Div. II League starts November 28th (Mondays) at WSU-Talbot Gym and Men's Div. III League starts December 1st (Thursdays) at WSU-Talbot Gym with all games at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. We have 5 women's teams forming one league. The Women's league starts Wednesday, November 30th at Winona Middle School-Small gym with games at 7 & 8 p.m. Good luck and have a great season. These are not "blood and guts" leagues-lets not take the game so serious and have some fun-we all need to work the next day.

ADULT BASKETBALL RULE OF THE WEEK-"LOCAL"-NO DUNKING

Anyone caught dunking the ball either BEFORE, DURING or AFTER the game will be charged with a technical foul and will be ejected from that game and one additional game. A second offense by the same player will result in ejection for the whole year. Payment for damaged equipment is the responsibility of the violating player/teams (breakage of rim/backboard causes stress on other games and programs.) Teams receiving three unsportsmanlike technicals in a single game shall forfeit the game.)
