Are you new to the animal agriculture industry and working with environmental issues? If so, attend the "Understanding Animal Agriculture and the Environment" workshop Feb. 15 in St. Cloud.
This one-day workshop presents an overview of the animal agriculture industry, including historic trends, production trends and the impact of government programs. Experts in the poultry, dairy, beef and swine industries will introduce participants to livestock and poultry production systems, the integration of these systems to cropping systems and their relationship with the environment.
Attendees will gain a broad perspective of the animal agriculture system. The information will be valuable to individuals new to animal agriculture and involved in the development and enforcement of regulations, zoning guidelines; and to others who work with the livestock and poultry industries.
The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud, Minn. The cost to attend this workshop is $75, which includes a noon meal and resource materials. For registration information, call 1-800-646-2282.
