Winona Health Home Care was named a National Best Practice Agency in the National Home Care Quality Improvement/ Hospitalization Reduction Project.

Winona Health Home Care continually reports numbers for acute care hospitalization to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Because of Winona Health Home Care's success in reducing hospitalization, CMS requested they participate in a special study by submitting information on the practices and procedures that lead to reduced hospitalization. "Your agency is in the top 10% of the most successful agencies in the country for this measure," the sponsors noted. "Winona Health Home Care clearly represents excellence in this critically important national measure of quality care."
