Rollingstone Community School welcomes Luxembourg delegation (02/09/2006)
Monday, January 30th was a big day for the students and staff of Rollingstone Community School as they visited with a Luxembourg delegation at the Manarch House and eagerly welcomed them to the school in the afternoon.

Principal Judy Davis, along with her faculty, met with Luxembourg's Secretary of State for culture, Higher Education and Research, Octavie Modert and delegation to begin to brainstorm ways that Rollingstone Community School and the European country of Luxembourg can celebrate their mutual heritage during 2007. Luxembourg has been selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2007 and Rollingstone is home to a settlement of Luxembourg emigrants.

The Rollingstone community and the Rollingstone Community School are proud of the Luxembourg ancestry of the area and this celebration allows the community and the children to continue to research and appreciate that heritage. As was expressed, in knowing your past you can more fully understand your present and better plan for your future.
