My husband and I can lay claim to something a lot of people can't, we were each other's first and only dates. I was a junior and he a senior when we had our first date on February 25, 1989. We went to see the movie Rain Man and we shared our first kiss that night. Only two dates later and he proposed to me. Of course I accepted but we waited to marry until after I was out of college. We shared a lot of firsts together and we were married on September 25, 1993, because the 25th represented our first date and we have been married ever since. We can't say it was love at first sight though because I first met him when I was a freshman working in the school office when I was sent to his classroom to fetch him for the principal. I do though remember how bright his brown eyes were. Two years after that we shared a computer and anatomy class together. One night I asked him to call me to help me with computer homework and my dad told me I was on the phone long enough. Chester said tell him you're talking to your boyfriend. I said I don't have a boyfriend and he said what am I? So I said, So, boyfriend, when are you taking me out and he said Saturday night and that's how our story began.
