Supervisors and others in positions of leadership in private, public and volunteer organizations are encouraged to attend a leadership seminar Tuesday, March 14 at Visions Event Center (formerly the Winona Country Club) in Winona.
Simon T. Bailey, an internationally known speaker, author and consultant, will present "Releasing Leadership Brilliance." The program is sponsored by the Winona Society for Human Resource Management (WSHRM). "This is an unbelievable opportunity for the Winona area to have someone of Bailey's caliber lead this seminar," said Sue Pronschinske, WSHRM president. "He provides a program that will change the way you view leadership; a way of leading from the inside out that will take your organization to the next level."
In "Releasing Leadership Brilliance," Bailey will provide an insightful, high-impact, transformational experience that will open up your mind and show you how to think about leadership in a new and different way.
Bailey's expertise in leadership, sales and customer service was honed over two decades. Bailey first achieved success as "Manager of the Year" with Hyatt Hotels and National Account Manager for the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau. He became Sales Director in the Resort division of the Walt Disney Company, as well as Disney Institute where he designed and delivered programs at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World Resort and was subsequently promoted to Sales Director for the Disney Institute, managing accounts for organizations worldwide. Bailey graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Life Christian University and earned a master's degree from Faith Christian University. He is also a graduate of the Rollins College Executive Management Program. Recently, Bailey was given an honorary doctorate for his global impact.
Bailey's clients range from Fortune 500 companies and national associations to government agencies and educational institutions both in the U.S. and abroad. Notables include organizations such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, McDonald's, Microsoft, SunTrust, and Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin Resort. He has spoken in South Africa, Singapore, British Columbia, Brazil, and France.
The cost of the half-day seminar (8 a.m. - noon) is $45 per person or $40 if three or more from one organization attend. A continental breakfast will be provided.
