Mar 7 - Childbirth Education Class,

6:30 - 8:30 pm thru Apr 11 - Community Memorial Hospital, B.A. Miller Auditorium: March 7 is the first date of this six-week class series on Tuesday's. Class size is limited so registration is required. Call: 507.457.4491

Mar 8 - Alzheimer's Support Group,

6 - 7 pm, Community Memorial Hospital, Parkview Conference Room. Free and open to the public. Call: Cheryl Krage 507.457.4560

Mar 8 - Grief Support Group,

3:30 - 5 pm, Watkins Manor, Watkins Manor Parlor

This group is offered for those who are dealing with a death in their life. Winona Area Hospice is sponsoring a monthly informal gathering to provide people with a comfortable environment to discuss their feelings and enjoy fellowship and refreshments. Mar 11 - Financial Planning and Advance Directives,

9 - 11 am, St. Mary's Parish Visitation Commons.

Saint Mary's Parish in Winona is working with Elder Network and Winona Area Hospice to provide two free Saturday morning workshops for elders, family members and caregivers. The sessions are scheduled for Saturday, March 11 and 25 from 9:00-11:00 am both in the Visitation Commons.

This session is titled "What Can We Do to Get Ready? Financial Planning and Advance Directives." Attorney Michael Bernatz will discuss estate planning and how to afford various care options.  An overview of Advance Directives will be provided. This session is open to all interested adults, and will be especially helpful for those who may need services to maintain their health and independence. Pre-registration is suggested, but is not required.

Mar 16 - Healthcare CPR Recertification, 7:30 - 11:30 am, Community Memorial Hospital, B.A. Miller Auditorium Cost is $30 and registration is required. Call:507.457.4491

Mar 20 - Health Care Directive Session,

9:30 - 10:30 am, Community Memorial Hospital, Parkview Conference Room

Trained facilitators from Winona Health Auxiliary will conduct this informational session. A completion session will be held the following Monday, March 27 at the same time and location. This session is free and open to the public. Contact: Volunteer Services 507.457.4316

Mar 25 - Care Giving Roles and Resources.

9 - 11 am, St. Mary's Parish Visitation Commons. Saint Mary's Parish in Winona is working with Elder Network and Winona Area Hospice to provide this second Saturday morning workshop for elders, family members and care givers. This session is open to all interested adults, and will be especially helpful for those who may need services to maintain their health and independence.

This second session is titled "What Do We Do Now? Care Giving Roles and Resources." This session will focus on practical tips and contact information about resources to use in your own home, family issues, and self-care for caregivers. The second hour will feature a panel of care providers from the community, including representatives from St. Anne's, Alterra Sterling, Bourne Medical, Winona Health Watkins Manor, Public Health and Sauer Home.

Mar 27 - Health Care Directive Working Session,

9:30 - 10:30 am, Community Memorial Hospital, Parkview Conference Room.

This session is for individuals who have attended a Health Care Directive Informational Session, but need assistance in completing personal directives. Volunteers will be available to answer questions. This session is free and open to the public.
