Ridgeway School holding open enrollment (02/26/2006)

Ridgeway Community School is currently holding its Open Enrollment Period for its free, public Kindergarten to Fifth Grade classes for the 2006-07 School Year. New students who register during the open enrollment period will be given equal opportunity to fill remaining spaces available in each class. Minnesota State Law dictates the open enrollment process for public charter schools, allowing for some students to be given enrollment priority. The first priority for enrollment is given to siblings of students already enrolled at the charter school. Second priority is given to students living two miles from the school.
All other children who register during the open enrollment period are then given an equal opportunity to enroll. If there are more students registering for a grade than there are spaces available there will be a lottery drawing to fill the remaining spaces. Ridgeway Community School is located just west of Ridgeway, Minnesota on Winona County Rd. 12.
