Whitewater plans caving trip (11/30/2003)
|
|
Want to explore a small wild cave? If so, Saturday December 6 is your day! That early afternoon, after viewing an introductory slide show, we'll drive ten miles to the cave where we will walk, crawl and slither into its passageways. Discover how caves are made, why Minnesota's caves are all in the southeast, and why groundwater issues are so important in this limestone country. As group size is limited, reservations are required. For additional information, and to make reservations, call the park during weekday business hours at (507) 932-3007, extension 7. Cavers need to bring flashlights and wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty. There is no fee for the activity, but Minnesota State Park permits are required. Daily permits are $7 and annual permits are $25.
