Gospel music fest planned (03/06/2006)

Immanuel United Methodist Church will present its thirteenth annual Gospel Music Fest at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the church, 455 South Baker St., Winona. Bob the puppet (aka Rick Thorn) and his able assistant Harry the puppet (aka David Robinson) will be the emcees for the event. Music will be provided by Nancy Edstrom, Audrey Karsten and the Interstatements, Angie Oevering, Immanuel's small bell choir, J.R. Larkie, Amy Pelts, Ward Anderson, Marji Ford, "Witness," Central UMC's contemporary praise group, Homer church's choir, and Reverend Jeff Olson and musicians from the Stewartville United Methodist Church. A couple of four-legged friends from the Humane Society will make a brief appearance with David Robinson.
Following the program there will be a time of fellowship with a light lunch being served. A free will offering will be divided between the Winona Area Humane Society and the Food Shelf. The public is cordially invited.
