Winona-Kogota Fundraiser to be held on Friday March 10th (03/09/2006)

The Winona-Kogota Friendship Association is holding a Fish Fry on Friday, March 10th, at the Winona Knights of Columbus, 64 E. 5th Street, from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Desserts Available. Proceeds from this fundraising event will help defray the costs for the 25 Winona Middle school and Senior High School students serving as the community's ambassadors on a trip to Kogota, Japan in April, 2006. Kogota is Winona's sister city in Japan. The Japanese delegation of students and adults will be arriving in Winona on Wednesday March 15th for five days and staying with families in the community.

Tickets are available from individual student ambassadors, at the Winona Middle School or at the Winona Senior High School. Tickets cost $7 and carry out orders will be available by calling 452-7460.
