Barbara Padgett is a mother and a grandmother. She has nine children and 63 grandchildren. Barbara has worked most of her adult life. She has never felt sorry for herself and knew that hard work was her remedy.
Barbara has worked at Winona ORC for seventeen years. Most of her work has been in community employment. She worked at Knitcraft Corporation for nine years and she presently works at Midwest Metals and Winona State University"”evenings. These jobs are janitorial jobs which Barbara enjoys. Barbara also works in-house janitorial at Winona ORC, so she usually can be seen at Winona ORC busy doing her janitorial work. Barbara also rarely misses work.
When Barbara was named Winona ORC Employee of the Year she was over whelmed with the honor. She kept saying "I can't believe that I have won this."¯ This is not the first time that Barbara has been recognized in this manner. Barbara was named Employee of the Month in May 2005. This qualified her as a nominee for the Winona ORC 2005 Employee of the Year.
