Fools Five Road race and social April 2 (03/15/2006)

The 28th annual Fools Five Road Race and Social Gathering will be held in Lewiston on Sunday, April 2nd. The 1 pm race features 1 mile and 8K competition for runners, walkers and wheelchair competitors. Participants may download a registration form at www.foolsfive.com or register at www.active.com. Race day registration begins at 9:30 am on the morning our time springs ahead. Runners are urged, but not required, to raise pledges which are donated toward cancer research. Blaise Winter, a former NFL player, now a motivational/inspirational speaker who overcame cleft palate and speech problems that caused him to be labeled mentally challenged, will entertain the crowd in the high school gym at 2:30 pm.
