All Winonans are invited to a celebratory parade and reception this Saturday, April 8, honoring the Winona State Warriors Men's Basketball team's recent national championship.
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Huff streets, proceeding south on Huff to Mark Street. The procession will then travel east on Mark Street past the WSU physical plant and up to McCown Gymnasium.
The celebration will continue inside the gymnasium, with speeches, highlight reels, and chances for autographs from the heroes themselves.
"This is definitely a city event, not just a WSU event," said Student Activities Director Joe Reed at Monday's City Council meeting.
