Owls in Need are Friends Indeed- 7:00 PM Saturday, July 1, Houston Nature Center
None of us will ever have a chance to see a live Laughing Owl due to human ignorance. Find out about several species of North American owls in need of our help, from the well-known Spotted Owl to the lesser-known Short-eared Owl. Then hear the success story of the Christmas Island Hawk Owl and what YOU can do to help owls. Let Alice the (live) Great Horned Owl help you understand WHY we should care about owls and hear her sad but interesting family story.
This program is free and open to the public. The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the main intersection of Highways 16 & 76 in Houston on West Plum Street in Trailhead Park. For more information contact the nature center at 507-896-4668 or nature@acegroup.cc.
