A demonstration by Winona County Deputy Sheriff Chris Cichosz and his canine companion Blitz, a decoy toss and a duck calling contest for five separate age categories will be featured at the 2006 Winona Ducks Unlimited Committee's annual "Greenwing's Field Day" to be held Saturday, September 23.
This year's event, for boys and girls up to 17 years of age, will be held at the Jaycee shelter in Lake Park, Winona. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with the remainder of the activities to follow.
Each boy and girl attending the event will receive a bag full of assorted prizes and other items, and will be eligible for major door prizes that will be given away, including firearms, bicycles, wildlife prints and other surprises. The door prizes will be awarded following a lunch that will be served starting at 12:30 p.m.
