The WSHS cross-country ski team finished second on an icy, fairly technical course in their meet in Stillwater on Monday.
Stillwater was first with 33; Winona second with 51, White Bear Lake third with 110 and Mahtomedi fourth with 125.
WSHS's Garrett Heath took first overall with a time of 11.21. Erik Mundahl was 5th with 12:16; Jens Brabitt, 6th, 12:17; Ben Schwarz 11th, 13:14; Greg Brandt 12th, 13:46; Ryan Stoa 16th, 14:35; Ron Cummings 22nd, 18:15 and first time skier Pat Savers, 32:15.
Only five girls skiied, with Pam Chapman 5th, 14:38; Maureen Keane 9th, 15:05; Julia Chapman 109t, 15:13; Kate Denehy, 11th, 15:22; and Britta Horeck 19th, 17:05. The top six skiers count towards the score.
