Truly just a brush with fame but it was funny at the time, and looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. It was in Minneapolis, MN, at a bar in Frog Town. It was many years ago, the bar had several pool tables upstairs and I was doing fairly well at making ends meet, when a friend said that Bill Murray and Ahmad Rashad were downstairs at the bar drinking and telling jokes. Most of the upstairs cleared out to see the two but I played it cool and said, "Tell them to come up and play some pool." Well they didn't and I went back to playing pool. Finally I had to use the men's room. I went downstairs to find Ahmad Rashad standing inside the entrance door. I walked up to him, introduced myself and shook his hand. He was about my size, but I remember the size of his hands, HUGE! After introductions I asked him where Bill was. He said he was in the men's room. So I walked in the men's room as Bill was zipping up. I walked past him as he headed towards the door (without washing his hands) and he fell into the wall and bounced back towards the other wall. Well I saw this over my shoulder and said, "Bill, you're bouncing off the walls." He turned to look at me over his shoulder as I bellied up to the urinal and then he went through the door. This was Bill Murray as I had come to know him from Caddy Shack fame. When I came out they were gone. Later I learned that Bill was in town for a cancer research fund-raiser.
