Ridgeway Community School kindergarten roundup, open house postponed until March 15 (02/28/2007)

Due to delays caused by last weekend's storm and winter weather forecast for Thursday, Ridgeway Community School is postponing its Kindergarten Roundup and All School Open House originally scheduled for March 1st to Thursday, March 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Preschool Roundup will be held a week later on Thursday, March 8th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Kindergarten Roundup Program will begin at 5:30 p.m. and provide pre-Kindergarteners and their parents an opportunity to learn more about Ridgeway Community School's all-day-every day Kindergarten Program. Information about the free, public charter school's Kindergarten to Fifth grade educational program as well as its after school clubs and childcare program will also be available at the event.
The school's Open House which begins at 6:30 p.m. will feature a World War II Era living history presentation by the school's 4th and 5th grade class. Finally, the school's AmeriCorps member Mary Wildenborg will be available during the events to demonstrate the use of the new Young Explorer computer station made possible with a grant from the Southeast Minnesota Initiative Foundation and IBM Kidsmart Early Learning Program.
