DNR permit required when burning leaves, brush (03/21/2007)

If you plan on burning your grass clippings, leaf or brush piles, a DNR burning permit is required. These permits are free and can be obtained by contacting your local Fire Warden or the DNR Forestry Office in Lewiston (507) 523-2183. For acquiring permits within the Pickwick Volunteer Fire Departments territory, which includes the communities of Homer, Cedar Valley, Pickwick, and Green Terrace, contact either Pickwick Fire Chief Adam Zimmerman (507) 454-2263 or Fire Warden Dennis Bergler (507) 454-4422.
