Owl Movie Night

Saturday, June 2 at 7:00 PM

Meet Ward and June, a very special pair of Barred Owls, and see them through the trials and tribulations of raising a family of three owlets. Will Ward be able to catch enough food to feed the growing owlets when it rains for several days? Will the runt of the brood survive if there's not enough food to go around? This two hour movie was created from video cameras (with audio) in Ward and June's nest box in combination with external cameras, making for an incredible video with the most intimate of details"”right down to the sound made when June lays an egg!

This program is free and open to the public. The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Hwys 16 & 76 in Houston in Trailhead Park. For more information contact the nature center at 507-896-4668 or nature@acegroup.cc.
