Refuge night programs in June (06/03/2007)
Friday, June 8th and June 15th, Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge invites everyone to come out for two different and unique night programs. On June 8th, Dr. Jennifer Anderson, Assistant Professor of Geosciences at WSU, will offer a presentation to learn about planets, constellations and other deep space objects. Participants are asked to meet at the Refuge office no later than 8:30 PM. Registration for this program is required and space is limited. Please call the refuge to reserve a spot for this very special program. June 9th will be the back up night if skies are not suitable for viewing.

On Friday June 15th, join the Refuge Park Ranger for a night nature hike under a new moon. Hikers will look; listen and feel the Refuge come alive on a 1½-hour evening walk in the woods. Meet at the Refuge office at 8:30 PM. Registration for this program is required and space is limited. Please call the refuge to reserve a spot for this very special program.

To make reservations for either or both programs, contact Jennifer Lilla, Refuge Park Ranger at 608/539-2311, ext. 16 before 4 PM, on the Thursday before the scheduled program.
